  • BECOMING WORD

    Day 4

    30 Days Of Practicing Believing

Will the Lord put aside the integrity of His character and forget the weight of His word which was communicated into your hearts at the dawn of the day, now that your feet is caught in the web of darkness?

“Remember [fervently] the word and promise to Your servant, in which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort and consolation in my affliction: that Your word has revived me and given me life. [Rom. 15:4.]” [Psalm 119:49-50 AMPC]

Truly this scripture offers a pathway of hope for all who are dealing with constant doubts and fear through the darkest paths of life. Our hopes will fade away without a substance of the spirit built under it. The substance of our hope is Christ, the word of life. Some hope for better days tomorrow, unfortunately their hope hinges on mere mental games, that says; maybe better days will come.” Such hope bears no fruit from the eternal realm. Such hope is just wishy thinking. It’s fruitless because the word of the living God is not the anchor and the foundation generating that expectancy within our hearts. I am not against men who expectantly wait for something good to happen to them but we shouldn’t forget that as believers every aspect of our action must be influenced by the word of God. This is the highest form of hope; influenced by the promises of God and burning with expectation in Him alone

David knew how to practice believing, holding on to what the Lord spoke to him, and he never stopped reminding God of that great promises. David was a man who knew how to connect with God in gloomy days. He prayed to God to actualize the good promises of His word concerning his life. He wanted God to reaffirm His purpose as it has been revealed unto him prior to his affliction. He was not trying to wake God up from sleep or tiredness as some thinks. No, God does not sleep, neither does He slumber. Your God is alive. He was actually affirming to God that he believes in Him and he know that He will not forget what He has said. Apostle Paul give a charge to his spiritual son, Timothy. This is another spiritual guidance into waging the war of faith in days when the mountains begins to shake and the oceans disappear and the wilderness appear before you. He said…

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;” 1 Timothy 1:18 KJV

“That thou by them mightest war a good warfare” It is according to the prophecies that came to him in regards to his ordination before time, he must rise and wage war against the wiles of the enemy. Do you remember what the Lord told you sometime ago? Have you talked to the Lord of late, reaffirming your confidence in the prophecies hanging upon your life. Have you reminded him of his good and great promises towards you? Can we make it a habit to boldly appear before God regardless of the situation and let him know that we are counting on his word. Many just sit and wait for situations to chance by chance. No, that’s not how you practice believing. Take words and return to the Lord. Take words and confront the devil that you are not moved by the negative winds, because there is a sound of abundance being renewed within your spirit. We never give up regardless of the circumstances because the integrity of God is at stake when his children begin to release their faith into the superior economy of His word.

How do I do that? Take a promise from Gods word that meets your situation and begin to meditate on it. Ours is not about trying to build head knowledge of biblical doctrines. No, I am not against doctrines. I am in for the edible part of God but not to dwell on the menu with knowledge. Doctrines are like having deep knowledge about the menu at a restaurant. If you don’t go beyond the menu and touch the food you’re just wasting your time. Some people love gaining knowledge in the word but they don’t touch on Jesus, who is the edible part of the word. They are puff up in knowledge and withering at heart. We draw life from the scripture. We touch on the power and potency of the word of God, which David said; “it gives me life.” Do you see the difference? Are you the menu type or the food type? Jesus is the food. We stay on Him until our soul is fed with everything He represent in our situation

Jesus said in John 6:63 that the words I speak to you are spirit and life. It is the spirit of the word that breaks the contrary powers that seems to infiltrate our minds. It is through the life of the word miracles takes place. Nothing can withand a man who consciously feeds his spirit with heavens manna. They are life and hope to the bones. Speak the word over your life. It will invoke life into the driest places of your being. Don’t hesitate. Trust me, the word of God can cure any type of diseases and afflictions.

The word of God will uphold your spirit amd mind with the strength to face rough times. Give yourself wholly to the word and let it impart strength and vitality in your inward being. Try this and see how God works. Our complaints and grumblings can only affirms and maximize the works of the devil in our lives. Nothing will change if real food of the word is not our pursuit. Don’t say and dwell on what you don’t want. Don’t overthink or be in anxious of the matters in and around you… the things you don’t want to see take a permanent stay in your life. Think about the promises of God. Let the seed of the incorruptible word of Gods promises be planted at the forefront of your thought, and your harvest of life shall manifest. You will ask of the perils and it will be no where to be found. The word gives us life. Glory to God!

May the word of His promises be with your spirit today as you wait on His goodness and seeks to please Him. You are the head and not the tail. Your comfort is in the word of His promise therefore I pray to the Father of light on your behalf that he will quicken and light up your spirit with desire so you can call on His name, even in trying times. Let God be true in your situation and count everything else as an illusion. Only He can be relied upon

  • BY FAITH JACOB

There is nothing in this life as awesome to me than the beautiful display of the eternal realities showcased in the life of the patriarchs. These were true witnesses of the divine economy. By the promptings of faith ordinary men journeyed from weakness into the presence of God, summoning the vibrations of His heart, enforcing it upon the earth. Such excellencies of God is scattered throughout the old Testament scriptures, to teach and edify us in our personal journeys with God

    30 DAYS OF PRACTICING BELIEVING

    Day 3

“By an act of faith, Jacob on his deathbed blessed each of Joseph’s sons in turn, blessing them with God’s blessing, not his own—as he bowed worshipfully upon his staff.” Hebrews 11:21 MSG

These Patriarchs were true custodians of divine counsels and such deep relationship they had with God was seen in countless times and situations as they yield themselves for the manifesting of God, even on their dying bed. Jacob is one of the patriarchs who really fascinates me. He caught my attention on the way he executed the purpose of God through his vessel at the dying stage of his life

This account is fully recorded in Genesis 48. [You can take the time to peruse it if you want to capture the whole scope] When Jacob was nearing his death, his condition wasn’t good at that old age. Joseph got information that his father was not in good shape so he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim to visit the father. At his death bed, when Jacob heard that Joseph was coming to him he strengthen himself and sat upon his bed in waiting.

    The most fascinating thing to me concerning Jacob, who later became Israel, is not how he wrestled with the angel of God, who broke his joint and shaped him into a tender, broken, and yielded man for the full expressions of the ordinations of God upon his life. It was how he summoned strength at his dying bed to bless the sons of Joseph. I want us to look into it and learn few things about practicing believing. How do you strengthen yourself at the edge of death and sat up in complete readiness to execute the heart of God? How do you infuse yourself into God when all you have around you is death? How do you opened up to the streamings of God with all the limitations of life? Scripture records;

And one told Jacob and said, Behold, thy son Joseph is coming to thee. And Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.” Genesis 48:2 DARBY

Today let’s explore this dimension of faith that quickens us from our inward world, shifting things from the external world. How on earth did Jacob strengthen himself and sat up to do business for the Lord when so many young bodies are coiled into weakness and despair, without an ounce of life, to continue the duties of God? In spite of all the myriads of scientific energy boosters stocked up in stores and motivational messages, weakness is displayed on every front. What is going on with this generation? The problem with today’s Christianity is because we are built on an erroneous orientation which hinges on self improvement methods instead of Christ. We are foreign to the ways of God and knowledgeable of our weaknesses. We have stopped believing in the God who never faints, even in the body of Christ. We consume weakness and in the end what we have is a beggarly, weak church. She has so much information through technology but she’s dying from within. It looks as if God is dead and the only thing we can do is to surround ourselves with myriads of religious rituals, hoping that life will get better. Unfortunately there is no life in rituals. Jesus is the missing life!

We learnt from the book of Hebrews that Jacob summoned strength at the dying stage of his life, “leaning upon the top of his staff”. We also know from the account of Genesis that he was at the edge of death when Joseph came to him in GOSHEN. What we didn’t know was how he was able to summon that strength. The mystery of his life is candidly revealed by the Holy Spirit, catalogued among the cloud of witnesses in Hebrew 11

“By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.” Hebrews 11:21 KJVAAE

The writer of Hebrews takes us much deeper into the source of his strength and the utterance that came out of him to bless his grandsons. We thought it was just a custom to bless so he probably rehearse few words and whispered it upon them as we sometime do in our religious prayers. “He leaned upon the top of his staff.” That image mirrors the frailty of Jacob and without doubt the spiritual enterprise of the Patriarch Jacob was not something a weakling man can produce on his own. There must be something more greater than Jacob finding expression in him to joyfully worship the Lord, and project into the future and establish the will of God upon Manasseh and Ephraim. At a dying bed the atmosphere is mostly filled with worry, sadness, anxiety, uncertainties and tears, but this particular atmosphere was a perfect imagery of heaven on earth. By what technology in the spirit he was able to unleash these realities of God? Two things he did in this posture of strength. First, he blessed both the sons of Joseph and secondly, he worshipped the Lord.

    TWO WORDS PRECEDED HIS NAME

From the KJV, Hebrews says that, “By Faith Jacob…” Two words preceded his name and his actions. It says; By Faith, then Jacob follows. After Jacob we are invited into the drama. No doubt, the whole scenario is influenced by what is called faith. So we can say that, Jacob Prompted from within by the sufficient technology of divine convictions, dealings and stirrings that could only come from God, he yielded his frail body to the dealings which unleashed a surge of strength into his body and propelled him to rise and speak as an oracle of God. Oh, glory to Jesus, that by his gift of faith weak men became witnesses of heaven, on earth

Is this faith limited to Jacob and the cloud of witnesses in Hebrew 11? We are called to live by faith. The just shall live by faith. Faith then is not a thing you engineer by human effort. Faith is not a doctrine we assent in our minds to. Faith is the substantiating presence of God in our hearts to wrought victory for God. So the troubled heart can outsource faith, conviction, persuasion from an unseen realm to overcome the onslaught of the enemy through trials and test. The confused soul can yield his faculties to Him and believe God for a higher wisdom to navigate through the labyrinths of life. Nothing is impossible with faith. We got to yield to the movement of Christ in your born again spirit

“Now faith is the substantiating of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For in the power of this the elders have obtained testimony.” Hebrews 11:1-2 DARBY

    I BELEIVE

God exists, and whatever God is to you, by revelation you contact that reality or existence. This is your personal encounter through believing, irrespective of the mountains of circumstances that surrounds you. Jacob summoned strength, not from that little strength that was left in his dying body. Even with his faintly eyesight he couldn’t be wrong in the placement of his hands upon the sons of Joseph, to bless. Our spiritual intelligence, as new created men by the order of the Spirit, when it is yielded completely to God is unparalleled. Don’t look down at yourself by communicating the whispers of your senses. Look deeper within the life of Christ inside you. Just a little whisper. All you will need is to humble lean on the movement of God by the Spirit and a little believing in your heart will cause greater manifestation from God through you.

Today, lift your eyes to the Lord and say; “i Believe and receive.” Wether it is healing, strength, peace, grace, power, guidance, growth, etc. Fix your eyes on the facts of the cross. Your covenant of grace with Jesus and all the great and previous promises of God concerning you. Lord, i believe that you’re the life alive in me, therefore I am quickened by your life to know you intimately and to rise in your power, for your glory. Hallelujah!

  • DELIGHT ME WITH YOUR SONG

    30 Days Of Practicing Believing

    DAY 2

“If the love of God which is generously bestowed upon the church through Christ Jesus is hidden from us then we are forever sentenced to a miserable life of neglect, dejection, fear, guilt, and defeat upon defeat, because His love casts away all the restraints of the human heart that impedes our ability to find satisfaction in Him through faith”

    FACTS AND PROMISES:

Ephesians 5:29-30 AMPC “For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, Because we are members (parts) of His body.”

    MY ALIGNMENT TODAY:

No human being in his right state of mind will abuse their bodies. We all love to pamper ourselves wether poor or rich. It is encrypted in our nature to accept ourselves in light of how God has accepted us. We are not to be obsessive with ourselves. That is evil in itself and one of the greatest distractions of this generation. There are quite number of people in our world today who will trample on others under their feet just to please themselves. They have no sense of human dignity. Love for ourselves encourages us to love others freely. This is what scripture teaches; “Love your neighbor as yourself”

There is a mystery we want to unlock today. We will observe the attitude of men (humanity) towards our body and that of Christ.

First of all, let’s consider the attitude of men towards their body. He says of men; “No man ever hated his own flesh.” What do men do to their flesh? The answer is not hidden. He says; “but (all humans) NOURISHES and carefully PROTECTS and CHERISHES it” (their flesh or body). Hating ourselves is not a common trait in man unless our hearts and soul are abused into hatred. We love us!

The words nourishes, protects and cherishes are in the present continuous tense. Meaning the action is not in the past but ongoing. So we can say that men are always nourishing, protecting and cherishing their bodies almost all the time. Do we say I protected myself yesterday but today I’ll open myself for the harms of life to get hold of me? Even the most weakest among us find ways to protect themselves all the times because they love themselves

Secondly, on the side of Christ, scripture says that Christ likewise NOURISHES and carefully PROTECTS and CHERISHES the church because we are members of His body. Let’s get into the full scripture to pick the juicy part of the fruit for our satisfaction and alignment

“For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, Because we are members (parts) of His body.” Ephesians 5:29-30 AMPC

    What is Christ doing for His body? Let’s look first at what Christ is not doing — “Christ is not hating His own body just like us.” Keep in mind the emphasis is on the word; “DOING not DONE.” What is Christ doing? Christ in his present office is nourishing, protecting and cherishing His body, the church, members of His body. Who is the church? You and I are the church. The ones who by regeneration are incorporated into His life as a corporate organism. You mean I am a member of Jesus body like the way my hands and legs are members of my body? Yes, sir! Without this daily alignment of your union with Christ and His present service to the members of His body we forfeit multifaceted possibilities in Christ. We are able to bear much fruit which pleases God by yielding ourselves into Him; the vine. Johns echoes the words of Jesus in his gospels;

““I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15:5-8‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Take a moment to thank the Lord for accepting you as part of His body. If you’ve been depending on your self efforts to access love, protection and nourishment ask Him to forgive you from turning your eyes from Him. Now, begin to Thank Jesus that today you are a partaker of the nourishment, and protection from above. This is an ever flowing benefit of the church —

By alignment with Christ, I believe that I have received the provision of my daily bread for sustenance, for growth, health, and good condition. Thank You Father, that in Christ Jesus, I am being developed, nurtured into something special, something glorious

You holding me dear to your heart. Oh, how I am lovingly embraced in Christ, loyalty in Your eyes. I am persuaded that you’re able to protect everything that concerns me because you love me. You preserve me because I am valuable. Satan will always try to poison our minds to make us feel dejected and wounded at heart. We don’t focus on the circumstances, we continue to fix our eyes on Christ to receive life. The uncertainties of this life does not change the dispensing hands of Christ. He’s ever protecting, nourishing, healing, preserving and restoring because He is faithful to His body. Is the world uncertain? His love is certain. His cares are certain. Are you receiving it today? Is your eyes upon Christ today?

“The uncertainties of this life does not change the dispensing hands of Christ.

Do you know that your are not just one piece of a body hidden in a crowd? He knows you by your name and hold every detail of your life in His mind; thinking of you, all the time. Not many people in the body of Christ are aware that God recognizes them as valuable because of our position in Him. Wake up each day knowing that your life is infused into His life. Don’t seek satisfaction from the corruption of this evil age. You are a member of Christ body not a member of the world.

“Jerusalem will be told: “Don’t be afraid. Dear Zion, don’t despair. Your God is present among you, a strong Warrior there to save you. Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love and delight you with his songs.” Zephaniah 3:16-17 MSG

You delight my heart with your song. You serenade my being with life and that my soul will choose to dwell in your presence forever. What else in heaven will I desire but You. Nothing on earth will take my heart away but you. My desire. My purpose. My dream. Christ Jesus, my life

    FACTS & PROMISES

“The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness, and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.” (Isaiah 33:5-6 ESV)

    MY ALIGNMENT

God, the hope of Zion, You are supremely esteemed in power, ruling over the affairs of my life with passion. I am so thankful to you, that You are loyally in control over the (mention areas of necessity) as the all sufficient Lord; dispensing grace without measure upon my life (my family, my city, this nation and leaders, my community, my health, my relationships, my church etc) according to your covenant of mercy

I brims over with all that is just and right. All weaknesses swallowed into you. My fears are gone. My hope is renewed. I am anchored. The Spirit of life which is in Christ Jesus has domiciled in me, keeping my days stable and secure from every turbulence which is being enforced by the prince of this evil age and his minions.

The darkest days are behind me. My feet is anchored in divine wisdom which have found true expression through all my faculties in the Holy Ghost. I reckon today, that the life that wins, which flows from Christ Jesus is very active in me — Guiding me, shaping me, quickening me, chastising me, transforming me, delivering me, healing me, nourishing me, restoring me, making me wiser and peaceful, sanctifying me, anointing me, prospering and favoring me, reminding me of HIS presence even in the most complex times of life.

“and of Him ye — ye are in Christ Jesus, who became to us from God wisdom, righteousness also, and sanctification, and redemption, that, according as it hath been written, ‘He who is glorying — in the Lord let him glory.’” (1 Corinthians 1:30-31 YLT98)

“I conquer the battles of the mind today because my spirit is renewed day by day in victory”

    Caravan loaded with assortments
    of eternal goodies beckons
    and I reckon
When the caravan of mercy arrived
my soul was among the company
    of avoidance so I died

    in my avoidance
    At 16 I died. I avoided.
    When He came

    At 17 I cried

“Give me that well so my soul
do not trek on this desert
    to an endless destination”
“Give me that water so I don't die in death”

Your soul deserves its vast share in the enjoyment of Christ when He comes

    Maranatha, Come!
“Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.”
