BECOMING WORD

Day 4

30 Days Of Practicing Believing

Will the Lord put aside the integrity of His character and forget the weight of His word which was communicated into your hearts at the dawn of the day, now that your feet is caught in the web of darkness?

“Remember [fervently] the word and promise to Your servant, in which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort and consolation in my affliction: that Your word has revived me and given me life. [Rom. 15:4.]” [Psalm 119:49-50 AMPC]

Truly this scripture offers a pathway of hope for all who are dealing with constant doubts and fear through the darkest paths of life. Our hopes will fade away without a substance of the spirit built under it. The substance of our hope is Christ, the word of life. Some hope for better days tomorrow, unfortunately their hope hinges on mere mental games, that says; maybe better days will come.” Such hope bears no fruit from the eternal realm. Such hope is just wishy thinking. It’s fruitless because the word of the living God is not the anchor and the foundation generating that expectancy within our hearts. I am not against men who expectantly wait for something good to happen to them but we shouldn’t forget that as believers every aspect of our action must be influenced by the word of God. This is the highest form of hope; influenced by the promises of God and burning with expectation in Him alone

David knew how to practice believing, holding on to what the Lord spoke to him, and he never stopped reminding God of that great promises. David was a man who knew how to connect with God in gloomy days. He prayed to God to actualize the good promises of His word concerning his life. He wanted God to reaffirm His purpose as it has been revealed unto him prior to his affliction. He was not trying to wake God up from sleep or tiredness as some thinks. No, God does not sleep, neither does He slumber. Your God is alive. He was actually affirming to God that he believes in Him and he know that He will not forget what He has said. Apostle Paul give a charge to his spiritual son, Timothy. This is another spiritual guidance into waging the war of faith in days when the mountains begins to shake and the oceans disappear and the wilderness appear before you. He said…

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;” 1 Timothy 1:18 KJV

“That thou by them mightest war a good warfare” It is according to the prophecies that came to him in regards to his ordination before time, he must rise and wage war against the wiles of the enemy. Do you remember what the Lord told you sometime ago? Have you talked to the Lord of late, reaffirming your confidence in the prophecies hanging upon your life. Have you reminded him of his good and great promises towards you? Can we make it a habit to boldly appear before God regardless of the situation and let him know that we are counting on his word. Many just sit and wait for situations to chance by chance. No, that’s not how you practice believing. Take words and return to the Lord. Take words and confront the devil that you are not moved by the negative winds, because there is a sound of abundance being renewed within your spirit. We never give up regardless of the circumstances because the integrity of God is at stake when his children begin to release their faith into the superior economy of His word.

How do I do that? Take a promise from Gods word that meets your situation and begin to meditate on it. Ours is not about trying to build head knowledge of biblical doctrines. No, I am not against doctrines. I am in for the edible part of God but not to dwell on the menu with knowledge. Doctrines are like having deep knowledge about the menu at a restaurant. If you don’t go beyond the menu and touch the food you’re just wasting your time. Some people love gaining knowledge in the word but they don’t touch on Jesus, who is the edible part of the word. They are puff up in knowledge and withering at heart. We draw life from the scripture. We touch on the power and potency of the word of God, which David said; “it gives me life.” Do you see the difference? Are you the menu type or the food type? Jesus is the food. We stay on Him until our soul is fed with everything He represent in our situation

Jesus said in John 6:63 that the words I speak to you are spirit and life. It is the spirit of the word that breaks the contrary powers that seems to infiltrate our minds. It is through the life of the word miracles takes place. Nothing can withand a man who consciously feeds his spirit with heavens manna. They are life and hope to the bones. Speak the word over your life. It will invoke life into the driest places of your being. Don’t hesitate. Trust me, the word of God can cure any type of diseases and afflictions.

The word of God will uphold your spirit amd mind with the strength to face rough times. Give yourself wholly to the word and let it impart strength and vitality in your inward being. Try this and see how God works. Our complaints and grumblings can only affirms and maximize the works of the devil in our lives. Nothing will change if real food of the word is not our pursuit. Don’t say and dwell on what you don’t want. Don’t overthink or be in anxious of the matters in and around you… the things you don’t want to see take a permanent stay in your life. Think about the promises of God. Let the seed of the incorruptible word of Gods promises be planted at the forefront of your thought, and your harvest of life shall manifest. You will ask of the perils and it will be no where to be found. The word gives us life. Glory to God!

May the word of His promises be with your spirit today as you wait on His goodness and seeks to please Him. You are the head and not the tail. Your comfort is in the word of His promise therefore I pray to the Father of light on your behalf that he will quicken and light up your spirit with desire so you can call on His name, even in trying times. Let God be true in your situation and count everything else as an illusion. Only He can be relied upon
