  • PRAYER THEATRICS AT A THEATER NEAR YOU

    apple1One of the greatest challenges of the Church of Jesus Christ is our inability to fathom “what is already done” through Christ Jesus. Due to this ignorance we approach God always with wrong attitude, which is full of man centered activity in the theater of a holy pursuit. I can give you hundreds of scriptures to prove this point but for the sake of space let me draw your attention to something we all believe and share as Christians.

    Your Bible records that; …“by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24. Watch this; you have been healed in the English language is something that took place in the past. If you have already been healed according to scripture through the work of Christ on the cross, what should be your attitude in approaching God? Should it be “working hard or paying some special price for your healing” or “embracing your healing through faith?

    Faith operates by trusting God for what He has already done and not to untie His hand to do anything new. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary is a historical fact and when He said it is finished; transaction for your healing, wholeness and victory was sealed eternally. Did not the Bible say you are more than a conqueror? What should be your attitude when you are in a spiritual warfare? Do we need physical weapons to prove to Satan we are going to win? No, No, No, we don’t try to win. We win already 2,000 years ago in Christ. I believe 99% of your prayer life should be an attitude of thanksgiving in appropriating what is already done. This is so profound and that is how I live my life daily as a Christian

    Matthew 6:5 MSG “And when you come before God, don’t turn that into a theatrical production either. All these people making a regular show out of their prayers, hoping for stardom! Do you think God sits in a box seat?

    I love reading the message Bible. It’s like therapy session for me. The grammatical construction, humor and the poetic undertone he conveys the original message without missing a beat. I remember growing up as a young Christian, we could pray with all kinds of props in a theater of chanting and responding. One will cry in tongues something like; “matu mata” and others will respond “breketee, brakatus” in a high-octane of sweat drops all over the place. (If you were not sweating then you were considered lukewarm) Those days to be honest with you was very fun but was crazy at the same time.

    I remember I and couple of my friends gathered together in an Assemblies of God church Kumasi – Ghana, praying with all kinds of arsenals in our hands. I had in my hands a pick axe while others have shovels and machete – all in the name of violent take it by force. mccarthy_-_navajo_ponies_for_comanche_warriors

    We were trying to kill the devil. (That’s crazy, huh?) I was uprooting and throwing down things in the spirit and all of a sudden the axe head flew into the air in the direction of one of the guys who was seriously cutting spiritual stuff so to speak with a machete in his hand. In a flash, I knew this is going to release holy blood in the holy of holies of prayer. I was so scared in my bones!

    Mine oh mine, like the matrix; my friend was bending in a prayer move and the axe head… whewww! flew over his head destroying the church’s property. (They found out later the destruction and stopped us from using their facility) Had it not been by grace, my friend wouldn’t be alive today or completely deformed by our stupidity. We often operate from work mode mentality of “try harder” “Push Hard” in anticipation to impress Him with our showmanship prayer abilities. Before you pour out our petitions before your Maker, He already knows our needs and there is no need to impress Him but to be authentic in your communion with Him and pour your hearts before Him as Sons and daughters in faith and not our self efforts of cutting your body with razor and bleeds with how you were able to perform good in His presence.

    I hope you don’t have these types of theatrics in your Church, full of emotions and religious cliché to pull God from heaven to act speedily on our behalf. God has already done everything and when we go to Him, it’s an anticipation to love Him and let Him reign in our affairs by His mercies and grace.

    Grace to you in your prayer journey as you absorb the fullness of joy in His presence and soar with wings like eagle beyond you’re your wildest dreams.

    ACCURACY IN PRAYER IN LIGHTENING SPEED

    Banner1I will be tempted just like any other person in the body of Christ to relay all my concerns in life to a selected few whose prayers penetrate the glass ceilings of life and reach God faster than the speed of light. We are easily swayed by the deception which has been propagated for centuries that God does not hear us all as children bought by the precious blood of Jesus and justified to stand right before Him without a sense of condemnation. I talked to a lady I will call Zerage, who was suffering from a chronic fear of death. I looked boldly into her face and burst into laughter -“I said to her, Zerage you will not die”.

    Here is the funny but serious part of my encounter with Zerage. She started smiling with a glow in her face when she heard from the lips of faith that she would not die but her smile was cut abruptly in few seconds. She calmly stirred into my face and said; “I called my Pastor in Africa and when He prays things happens but he told me to wire some special seed offering and wait for Him as he will be coming to the United States and then he will pray with me for wholeness”

    Meanwhile this poor girl is writhing in pain, scared to death and crying like Jesus did not die to deliver us from the power of the wicked. I ask Zerage, if she really believes God listens to her prayers or not. She said; “yeah God listen to my prayers” and then paused with a huge BUT with an exclamation mark. She is not alone, so many believers believe in men than the Holy Spirit and for themselves they think they are filthy rags. Let me ask you a simple but profound question. Would you let me pray for you if you know my inadequacies? It is always not a matter of who is praying but a matter of who we are in Christ. You do matter to God and your prayers are a fragrance in His presence because of Christ Jesus. Start praying and stop looking around!

    I looked at Zerage with pity seeing her ignorance of the truth of scripture. She is more dependent on another believer who happens to be a Pastor more than her own union with God. (Don’t get it twisted, Pastors can pray for you and I do that often but He hears us all in a very unique way) My aim is not to try to devalue the place of Pastors but to empower the laity in their walk with Christ.

    Zerage was using me to sustain her from death until the man of God comes and finish the business when she wired the seed money. Her paradigm of thinking was shattered in my presence and a brand new perspective was established as she got soaked in the truth and… Voila! the demon of death left her and God washed her heart with the liquid presence of His peace and love.

    There is only one person you can surely depend to escort the burning desires of your heart with passion and accuracy in another dimension of prayer without fail… He is the Holy Spirit.

    NOW WORD
    Also, the Spirit helps us with our weakness. We do not know how to pray as we should. But the Spirit himself speaks to God for us, even begs God for us with deep feelings that words cannot explain. God can see what is in people’s hearts. And he knows what is in the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit speaks to God for his people in the way God wants. (Romans 8:26, 27 NCV)

    Wow! This is true rest. God is not in a rush my good friend. This is a foundational truth you should build your life upon; “Be still”. There is a constant intercession going on the behalf of the chosen in Christ by the Spirit of God.

    The Holy Spirit does not miss a thing. These prayers are on point to the very last detail of God’s will and perfect plan for your life. We can surely rest in the Holy Spirit without any iota of doubt in the solutions God brings when we feel so broken and at the edge of the cliff. In other words, life can be faced with daily assurance of super breakthrough. We can walk into any situation with conviction that it’s going turn out for our good. Hallelujah!

    That is exactly what (Vv. 28) says; We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are the people he called, because that was his plan. (Romans 8:28 NCV)

    Be still today and let your entire being correspond with the positive vibration of scripture and expect only good when even you don’t know exactly what to pray about in your life. The Spirit pray better prayers and you receive better answers. Men! That is so wonderful.

    How does the connection of the Spirit in me connect with the mighty God?

    First of all you need to know that you are loved by God. Also the Spirit of God resides in your born again spirit and knows an in- depth details of our lives. I believe the Holy Spirit communicates with the Father at every nano second of our breath linking our thoughts to the Father for right directions and strength in anticipation for our e14bfd323fd344_2f_9_76efb21b-postmanifestation in glory. Message Bible throw more light into this:

    “Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. (Romans 8:26-28 MSG)

    No matter how life situation look today, you can rest comfortably in the Holy Spirit daily to relay all your conscious and unconscious desires before God with accuracy. Loaded with such a powerful truth does not stop you from literally praying to God but should remove all your fears and be ignited with a heart of thanksgiving to God daily for His benefits of grace. We win at all times as we wait for the redemption!

    An online hub for homosexual materials disclosed that although Ghana was not an African gay paradise, there are desperate young men who are looking for greener pastures and so willing to jump at opportunities offered by gay foreigners.Ghana’s laws are yet to be explicit on homosexuality although the country’s culture frowns upon the practice.However, Mr. Foh-Amoaning in an interview with XYZ News said the tag by the website must be a warning to Ghana to vigorously campaign against homosexuality.

    “One of the strategies we know they have adopted is to brand Ghana as a destination for homosexuals because we are the loudest against them…so it is a strategy; we need to be careful about this kind of information”.

    LOVE IN THE AIR OR IN THE HEART??

    LOVE IN THE AIR OR IN THE HEART

    Can you imagine if the force of love and its effects can be felt daily just as the wind blows from the horizon and we enjoy its breeze?

    Most often in a relationship when circumstances are perfect you could just smell and breathe love but the unfortunate thing is that, it does not stay long than for it to be fizzled into the thin air.

    Love is suppose to be a lifestyle of affection and goodwill towards God, others and ourselves. Our momentary love builds and destroys. It goes to the altar on Sunday and goes to the divorce court on Friday. Our love from this fallen world is a bankrupt love – we honor God when the music is good and we are on emotional high on Sundays. Jesus corrected this form of error employed by men in their falling nature to play act in the presence of God when He encountered the Pharisees. He rebuked them sharply;

    Matthew 15:7-9 (NKJV) 7Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: 8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And[a] honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.

    The Only way we can love just as He loved us unconditionally when we were yet sinners is to embrace His love for us. Your Bible says in 1 John 4:19 “We love Him[a] because He first loved us”. Do you abide in His love for you? God loves you not because of your good works and neither does He love you because you qualify for His love. God’s nature is to love. He is a being that want to love you and shower you with His goodness. There is nothing you can do to make Him love you more or not to love you anymore. Yes there is nothing!

    It is recorded in the scripture for our profit, the heart of God concerning His children – “Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword”?

    Don’t let no man imprison you with guilt and condemnation to hinder you from enjoying the real goodness of your Father in heaven, who loves you so dearly and will continue to love others through you as you abide in His love. Its totally impossible to give to people what you don’t have. When you receive it, its easy to diffuse it out effortlessly.

    Are you afraid of tomorrow and not sure if life has anything good on the table for you? Most Christians have this knowledge that God is love. Do you know it is one thing to know that God is love and another thing to believe that He loves you? Do you believe that He loves you? Its is in that believe, rest and trust that breaks the yoke of uncertainty and fear for tomorrow. This believe will settle peace into your heart with the liquid presence of His grace to walk with your chest out and a big smile on your face. Your heart is full of God’s power on your behalf to favor you beyond measure. The Doctor’s report don’t burry you in despair! You can now look with hope and appropriate what the perfect work of Christ has wrought for you on the cross of Calvary for your healing and total wholeness.     Meditate on this scripture today and walk out from the temporal emotions of love and be established in the perfect love of God which cast out all fears and to be able to enjoy the best fro all your relationships. You are dearly loved and perfectly cared by the lover of your soul, Jesus Christ.

    1 John 4:16-18 (NKJV) 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
