The imago dei
She is so beautiful
Gorgeously blessed
Through and through
2
She lost it all;
A decade ago
When beauty took a new form
A direction;
The wrong direction
3
Alas!
She joined the rat race
Unending universal marathon
4
Tell her!
The crushed petal of the flower;
You are beautiful
Just as you are
5
Tell her;
Come out from them
Stand tall
Live happily
6
The goddess of significance
She is weary and worn-out
Bruised and battered on both feet
She didn’t know she got what
She has been chasing for a decade
7
You are;
Priceless
Rare
Worthy
Dearly loved and accepted
Into an abiding beauty of God

Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on jewelry, or beautiful clothes, or hair arrangement. Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and quiet spirit that is so precious to God. 1 Peter 3:3-4 (TLB)
This is so precious. So many women (and I suppose men) worry about losing their beauty. But beauty is inside. As the great poet Keats said : Beauty is a joy forever.”

Thanks Carol for your fantastic comment. Yes! “Beauty is a joy forever” ..its unfortunate how many Christians have been distracted by societal definitions and labels of what beauty really is. Christ has become our beauty and significance. Our self worth is measured by the treasure of His life in our born again spirit. This indwelling beauty always affects the external, which leads into Christ esteem instead of self esteem.
