In December of 2011, while we were in a 21 day prayer and fasting for the Church of Jesus Christ, I saw a vision of the Lord in my spirit, whiles I was sitting in my car praying with other believers in a phone conferencing…you can call it prayer hotline.
In this vision; “I saw myself and a host of Pastors or the clergy men in their official clerical regalia, each holding a PICK AXE; with passion digging a deep HOLE in the earth surface. This was one big hole…the effort and the passion we were actually putting into this business of digging deeper, is indescribable” I had a teary eye; a whirlwind of sorrow and hopelessness overwhelmed my whole being, as I watch everyone dig like a gold digger in search for precious gems. Instantly, an interpretation was given to me by the Holy Spirit. He said;
“THERE IS AN EMPTINESS IN MY CHURCH” He continued; “my servants have a dug a big hole of emptiness in the hearts and soul of the Church, and they keep digging deeper and deeper and deeper with passion. In time of test and trials due to the emptiness in their hearts (my Church) they struggle to prevail”. “Their prayers have all become an activity before me, they feel condemned and unrighteous; neither do they have an intimate relationship with me Their emptiness is perpetual. I am the only one that satisfies the thirsty, yet my servants are not projecting me unto My Church”
Colossians 2:8-10 (The Message) Watch out for people who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual double-talk. They want to drag you off into endless arguments that never amount to anything. They spread their ideas through the empty traditions of human beings and the empty superstitions of spirit beings. But that’s not the way of Christ. Everything of God gets expressed in him, so you can see and hear him clearly. You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything.
Many in the body of Christ are standing on quick sands and slipping slowly into despair, because Christ Who is the only unmovable rock that will stand the test of time, is not the centre of their religion. Christ becomes the center of your religion not because you sing about Him or tell stories of His good life. Christ is the center of our life when the life we live in the flesh is His life and all we do is to His glory. Self sits on the throne of ones heart when you, trying to rule, reign and direct your affairs in your own terms. It doesn’t matter how sacred that might look on the outside…that is not Christianity. Just as Moses lifted up the bronze serpent in the wilderness and those bitten by poisonous snakes (life complications) lived again, so must we exalt Christ Jesus like a neon billboard that, all that travels on the untested terrain of this dark tunnel of life, can draw life and light, to accelerate purposefully to their destinations.
CHRISTIANITY IS VERY SIMPLE – It takes complicated people to complicate the life-giving reality of Christ into human traditions and ancient philosophies, which is difficult to assimilate and process by the believer. Christianity is Christ. Christianity is not techniques, nor 101 Rules, 7 Special Steps, 21 Keys of human wisdom to reach God! When you try to get access to the will and promises of God through human effort and concepts which sounds good to the ear, it always leads to frustration at the end. Your will power can only sustain you to a certain degree of life, but it has no promise to sustain you at all times. – Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. – It is God, my dear friends who works in us to functions in His will and purpose. It’s only through the Spirit of grace that one can prevail over impossible circumstances and bear abiding fruits. For instance, one cannot and will not be able to live a life of true joy and peace without Christ. These two virtues are the very character of God, which emanates in us, as we abide in Him as covenant children, through faith in His finished work. You want to experience through peace? Don’t try hard to walk in peace…embrace the truth of God’s peace which has already been lavished on you freely as you set your heart on Christ. Meditating on His good opinion towards you in the midst of the complex issues of life, will calm your nerves with unusual peace which only God can give to us ( See Isaiah 26:3)
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing – John 15:4-5
A SHOCKING STATEMENT BY A LEADER IN NEW YORK – Eastern religion and certain forms of human concepts and ideologies which have no root in Christ Jesus have gain inroads into the body of Christ. These beggarly, weak concepts which have been sold to the masses in the form of motivational mantras, to the neglect of the transforming power of the gospel. Many are in the Church today who have never heard the so good to be true gospel. The gospel is simply the good news of the finished work of Christ and what it has wrought for humanity, independent of our human effort. The clause of this gospel is faith in Christ…appropriating what He has already done. It is sad to say that, many believers sincerely love the Lord but the reality is that they have never heard the truth which takes the burden off your shoulders; all they have known in their entire Christian journey is the junk of emotionalism and self effort legalistic concepts, which has one into total emptiness, on the inside. I had the Chance to minister in a Church in New York City…I saw people literally set free from the bondage of guilt, shame, condemnation, sin consciousness. You could see their faces glistening with life; with tangible miracles of healings and breakthrough for God’s people.
What did I do? I shared the simplicity of the gospel, and the Holy Spirit went to work. After the conference, the Pastor was so touched by hearing the gospel in its unique way, but the sad part of this scenario is his open confession to me. He said; I know this is the truth, but if you keep emphasizing on it, people will leave the church! I was totally shocked! Many Church leaders believe that we were saved by grace through faith and not of our works that we should not boast (Eph 2:7-8) and yet they find it hard to live in the balance of grace and faith. What did you do to get save? Grace through faith! How will the Lord build His Church? Not by your methods and techniques; it is by grace through faith. Faith in what? In the finished work of Jesus Christ. You don’t start the Christian life by grace and then God leaves you on your own, to live the Christian life in your own strength and effort. That is uncharacteristic of a loving God. Paul writes to the Colossians… So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, Colossians 2:6(NIV) This is so simple yet it’s hard for many souls to comprehend.
This was Paul’s greatest fear when He wrote to the Church at Corinth… But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3 KJV)
Do you know that the pulpit which is suppose to build you up can also end up corrupting your mind from operating from the simplest and yet powerful platform of the truth of the gospel which sets free. One great man has said; “wrong belief system always leads to wrong behavior” Christianity is not difficult, its totally Impossible without the life of Christ, which the gospel so much emphasize.
Please to capture the whole perspective of this post…read Chapter 2 here. Is the Church focus is to build and transform lives or to entertain with sensationalism and emotionalism? Chapter 2 answers this question!! Thanks for reading, and you have a graceful journey with Christ in your Christian pilgrim. Shalom

“He said; I know this is the truth”. Maybe when even that word “truth” is unimportant – then you love.
