HOPE IS CALLING
God wants to fill you with the fullness of Himself, to deliver your soul, mind and emotions from the despair of life and paint a brand new image of the future He plans for you and yours. God promise hope for His people, and this glorious promise belongs to I and you to own it in perilous times;
…16Thus says the LORD, “Restrain your voice from weeping And your eyes from tears; For your work will be rewarded,” declares the LORD, “And they will return from the land of the enemy.”There is hope for your future,” declares the LORD, “And your children will return to their own territory (Jeremiah 31:16-17)
Hope is an earnest expectation of good ===> The twist and turns in destiny journeys can take a breath out of your lungs and steals away the beautiful image of your glorious destination which was colorful painted into your heart by the Spirit of God, to be replaced with fear, uncertainty and a distorted image of the future by Satan. The believer has no reason to hit the quit-bell, throw the towel in the air or consider his or her position of uncertainty as fate. In Christ Jesus, we can draw the ever increasing colorful riches of turnaround grace as we place our complete trust in Him and refrain from negativity and the voice of weeping.Job was robbed of his wealth and family, but in the midst of his predicament he found solace in his God. He hit the dead end of life where only Jehovah could reach and activate purpose and destiny when Satan thought that was the end of the story ===> …6″Turn Your gaze from him that he may rest Until he fulfills his day like a hired man. 7″For there is hope for a tree, When it is cut down that it will sprout again, And its shoots will not fail. 8″Though its roots grow old in the ground And its stump dies in the dry soil … (Job 14:6-7)
I know it my friend! When the future becomes so blurred, it’s like a driver on the wheels of the latest model of Mercedes without fog lights, going through a tunnel clouded with darkness and fog. The driver is in the latest model of Mercedes, but he is limited from clear path to his destination.
Beloved, you are a new creation; a latest model of Christ Jesus on earth…your ability to navigate through the dark tunnels of life depends on the light of Christ. It is in His light that we can see light. When we shift our focus from Him as the expectation of our lives through His great love for us, life loses it flavor and the future becomes pointless.
Here is the good news…God does not condemn you in your mistakes, neither does He leave you in the middle of the road to hassle through life on your own. I am persuaded and convinced that He who has begun a good work in you shall finish His purpose in your life until Christ returns. He is our companion and a friend who strengthens the weak and the weary and gives them strength like that of an eagle to soar up with wings against the odds and the limitation.
Will you let Jesus takes the wheel from your hands, my friend? I know how we sometimes thinks; “life is too much a mess for God to touch it”. If He can’t handle it, then don’t think you can make it work through yourself efforts. Our Savior stooped low in His earthly ministry and ministered to lepers, the dead, the rejected and the unclean sinful men, which was contrary to the law for Him to have been that personal to such ostracized men to give them hope to life a fruitful life. Your mess is not so messy to limit the power of His love to induce hope into your hopeless situation. ===> For we have all received from his fullness one gracious gift after another. (John 1:16 NET)
Carrie Underwood song, Jesus Takes the Wheel has become a fresh breath to a hopeless society which is bound into self and it sense of emptiness and apathy seeking Christ to steer her affairs into a purposeful living. Jesus is the answer for the world today…from the poor ghetto man to the crème de la crème living in a castle.
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati, On a snow white Christmas Eve Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline It’d been a long hard yearShe had a lot on her mind, and she didn’t pay attention She was going way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass She saw both their lives flash before her eyes She didn’t even have time to cry She was so scaredShe threw her hands up in the air
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can’t do this on my own, I’m letting go
So give me one more chanceSave me from this road I’m on Jesus take the wheel
It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder, And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock And for the first time in a long time She bowed her head to prayShe said I’m sorry for the way I’ve been living my life
I know I’ve got to change
So from now on tonight
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can’t do this on my own, I’m letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I’m on Oh, Jesus take the wheelMy Prayer For You: Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace AS YOU BELIEVE IN HIM so that you may abound in HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 NET

LAW VS GRACE #101 | WHERE THE LAW DEMANDS, GRACE PROVIDES
Many consider what separates the old covenant of law and the new covenant of grace is the blank page between the book of Malachi and Mathew. It sounds very funny, but you must understand, it is one of the unknown mysteries in Christianity hidden from the body of Christ, due to our emotional attachment to religious dogmas, wrong teachings, Church traditions that limits us from enjoying God’s best for our lives. The law tells me how crooked I am. Grace comes along and straightens me out. – D.L. Moody
GOD DEMANDING RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM MEN
In the Old Covenant of law, God did required or demanded righteousness from men. Righteousness is to have a right standing with God without a sense of guilt or shame. The best that were among the Israelites, (Moses, Joshua, David, Saul etc.) could not even meet the righteous standard of God based on their performance and neither were the blood of goats, bulls, sheep, doves and all the religious rituals were able to permanently cleared their guilt of condemnation before God. The law did not have the strength to make anyone holy or pure before a holy God. The blood sacrifices of animals covered the sins of the children of Israel for only one year, and the process had to be repeated every year (Hebrews 10:3)Walking under such temporal remedy of animal sacrifices, which was a shadow of good things to come under the dispensation of law, the best still cried about how filthy as rag their righteous were before God.
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness’s are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Isaiah 64:6 K (KJV)Under the new covenant of grace, the born again believer does not walk under condemnation because of his or her inadequacies and flaws. Our righteousness is not base on our works but the gift of Jesus righteousness which empower the worst among us to excel in good works, because of the no sense of shame, condemnation and limitation hanging on our conscience. We are accepted just as Jesus is accepted before the Father…we can therefore declare of our righteousness in Christ and not how filthy we are. After all, the righteousness of Jesus is not filthy or like filthy rags.
RIGHTEOUSNESS IMPUTED
Under the New Covenant of grace; through our spiritual union with Christ Jesus by His finish work, (suffering, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension) we shared in His very life. God has imparted righteousness upon the believer and encoded a quality life of the DNA of God in our born again spirit on the basis of grace. Paul writes; “2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
We’ve been redeemed from the curse of performance base righteousness to an imputation of a new life which flows from the inside out and not the other way round. Look at the beauty of the righteousness imputed upon the believer freely and we are declared as the righteous of God not filthy rags as recorded in the book of Romans 4:5-7… “5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.Relying on our outward performance, religious rituals, Church traditions, and culture to the neglect of the gift of righteous through faith on the finished work of Christ to access God is a slap in the face of Christ finished work which changed our position. We can imitate the Apostle Paul by counting every legalistic ordinance and rituals which have become the bedrock of our salvation as non essential and pursue the Excellency of Christ righteousness. The Apostle of grace writing to the Church at Philippi, he says;
“ 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: ( Philippians 3:8-9 (KJV)
Grace say, freely given; freely take and walk in it as a true child of God. Law says, I will try to acquire righteousness on my own and try to please God base on self works. The former leads to frustration and hypocrisy; because the law was not mean to empower you to live righteousness on your own.
Is your right standing with God based on self works, behavior modifications, adherent to church traditions, culture or an end goal you are pursuing? We can only be declared right and walk with our heads up as children of the most high when and only we place trust in Christ for the righteousness which is of God?
“Listen, O heavy laden, condemned sinner, while in my Master’s name, I publish super abounding grace. Grace excels sin in its measure and efficacy. Though your sins are many, mercy hath many pardons. Though they excel the stars, the sands, the drops of dew in their number, one act of remission can cancel all. Your iniquity, though a mountain, shall be cast into the midst of the sea. Your blackness shall be washed out by the cleansing flood of your Redeemer’s gore” – C.H Spurgeon

LAW VS GRACE #100 | GRACE IS PERSONAL, THE LAW IS NOT

Picture courtesy of Kharis Media Ltd, Ghana The incredible difference between the Old covenant of Law and the New covenant of grace is a mystery I will be writing about in my ensuing notes on Law vs. Grace Series, to throw light on God’s goodness towards people and the purpose of His new covenant. Many consider what separates the old covenant of law and the new covenant of grace is the blank page between the book of Malachi and Mathew. It sounds very funny, but you must understand it is one of the unknown mysteries in Christianity, which is hidden from the body of Christ, due to our emotional attachment to religious dogmas, wrong teachings, Church traditions that limits us from enjoying God’s best for our lives.
The law tells me how crooked I am. Grace comes along and straightens me out. – D.L. Moody
THE LAW IS IMPERSONAL: It shows our place of inability to access the thoughts and ways of God, to be able to walk in alignment with Him. The old covenant folks could not connect personally to the loving, prosperous, whole and Fatherly heart of God. Only, selected few were able to connect with God from time to time to show His intent
others. To the Old Covenant saint, the Lords say; “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8, 9 NKJV)
GRACE IS PERSONAL THROUGH THE INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT: Grace came to show the heart of the Father, that individually we may know the very thoughts of God. God’s thoughts are no higher than our thoughts because His Spirit lives on the inside of us permanently with the ability of the mind of Christ to know the mind of God. Hallelujah!!
“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (I Corinthians 2:10-12, 16 NKJV)The New Covenant believer does not live a pointless and hassle life of walking into the unknown; trying to find fulfillment in life through human standards, which are practically based on self efforts and will power. Will power and self-dependence is a curse of the law, which always leads to catastrophe but a profitable life of purpose and direction is a fruit of the New Covenant through Christ….because of the capacity through the Holy Spirit, to download heavens thoughts in every situation to reign victoriously on earth, through Christ.
Beloved, my prayer for you today is that, you will not lean on your own understanding but be guided by the supernatural wisdom of God to effectively navigate through life effortlessly ====> 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (2 Peter 1:2-3 (NKJV)

IN JESUS NAME – DARLENE ZCHECH
This is still blessing me…The essence of life is JESUS. The western underlying thought of abundant living is having mansions in every other state and owning a fleet of cars. There is nothing wrong with having abundance in life. God is happy to see us walk in fullness which is centered on His sufficiency.
The only issue is our obsession for material gains and relegation of the quality of life, which only Christ gives to the attic. Wealth and wellness doesn’t define the abundant life Jesus promise us in John 10:10.Abundant life is a life full of the fullness which emanates in us through our intimate union with Him. (Christ Jesus) Contentment in life comes as a result of the intimate knowledge or a loving relationship with a being (God) who is our sufficiency. Do you know the reason why the most wealthiest people on the planet who have not submitted to the Lordship of Christ Jesus always feels miserable, empty and unfulfilled in spite of their material wealth? The hole in the soul of every man on this side of eternity can only be filled and satisfied in our complete union with Jesus Christ through eternal life. Jesus is our eternal life. Things around us can change with time…the economy change, husbands and wife’s do change, business change, family members can change their attitude when things fall apart. Remember, everything around us change! Its only God, who remains the same…we can confidently shout from the roof top to the dark valleys when all things change, with joy in our hearts and praise on our lips. Why? Because we have the very life of God on the inside of God which doesn’t stop when the odds are against us. This is contentment…it comes from knowing Jesus.
Got life?
As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:2-3)
In Him is life!!
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:3-4)– McDaniels Gyamfi
Gravity of Grace Note: This song is full of God’s abundant life to infuse hope, healing and recovery in any dead areas of your life today. Our society is full of men and women filled with insecurity, fear, insignificance, emotional wounds, hurt and a sense of hopelessness for the future. Thank God for the exalted name of Christ Jesus that give us meaning and purpose to be able to lift our heads in the midst of the storm and celebrate recovery.
Fill your heart with the liquid presence of the name Jesus as you watch and listen to the faith filled words of the song by the minstrel Darlene Zchech and see God thrash our every emotional pain whatever form or shape out of your life completely. Amen!!

Grace and the way we see God
One of the best explanations of faith that I have learned is this: “Faith is simply a good opinion of God”.
This makes it so simple for me. When I need faith, I don’t have to look at myself to produce faith. I just need to look at God. And true enough, in times where I am low in faith, it’s because my opinion of God at the time needs adjusting.
Our Worries Speak a Bad Word about God
Let’s say I’m worrying about money, what is my heart really saying? It’s saying “God might not provide this time”… “Remember that one time when you were in tough times? That might happen again. If God allowed it before he can allow it again”… “You’re on your own. Do whatever it takes to make ends meet”.
Does that make God look good? Does that glorify him? No. And who suffers? God? Or me?
Let’s say you’re worrying about your health. What are you really saying? “God may or may not heal me”… “Sometimes he lets us stay sick to teach us a lesson”… “What about XYZ? He got sick and he’s a good Christian guy”…
Is that having a good opinion of God? No, not at all.
Where Faith Comes From
That’s why the bible says that faith comes from hearing the Word of God. Because the Word of God always shows you how good God is! Did he ever blast someone with sickness to teach them a lesson? Would you do that to your own child? Will you give your son a snake if he asks for an egg? What more your Father in heaven! Did Jesus ever refuse to heal someone? Was there anyone ever in lack when Jesus was around? Is there any account of someone dying when Jesus was around? Lazarus died when Jesus wasn’t around… but he resurrected when Jesus arrived. The Word of God has a good opinion of God.
The bible also says Faith is a gift from God. It’s something God does. Our hearts always have a tendency to be veiled… and God always lifts that veil. Just this afternoon I was worrying like crazy about something. And there was this voice in my head saying “why are you still worrying about this? Aren’t you the guy who always talks about Grace vs Anxiety, etc etc?”.. That’s the voice of the enemy kicking me when I’m down. But you know, when you’re caught in the middle of it – it’s really, really hard! You can’t “get a grip” on yourself. God has to get a grip on you.
God is asking you today: “When will you learn to have a good opinion of me? Am I not your Father who loves you? I will take care of you. Be confident of that and rest”.
Unless you people see Signs
In John 4 (where we left off a long time ago!) Jesus went back to his hometown after his trip to Jerusalem. He knows that people there don’t have a good opinion of him. Here’s what he said:
John 4: 48 “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.”
In those words you can almost feel Jesus’ frustration. Of course he wants them to believe! This is the problem with unbelief. Unbelief is basically saying “God is not so good”. In the case of the people there, their unbelief sounded something like: “If this guy is who he says he is, he better prove it”.
Where does this come from? Why do people need a miracle before they start believing?
The Law and Unbelief
One of the biggest reasons, is because of our religious background. The Jews lived in the time of the Law. The Law basically says you need to earn your blessing. If you haven’t been following the law lately, you’re not receiving anything from God. This mentality is still prevalent today- and it does bigtime damage to our faith in God. If we lived in this frame of mind, if we’ve been taught anything that sounds like this growing up, we’re basically saying “God will give only what I deserve”. If God blesses us we say: “Well and good, I deserve it.” On the other hand, if we don’t feel like we deserve anything, but we need a miracle – healing or provision we don’t come to God at all. And if we did, we don’t come expecting. Because we feel we don’t deserve it.
This is why many times we feel like we’re on our own. Because our minds still haven’t been renewed about the matter at hand and we’re still dwelling on the whole meritocracy mindset of the law. You see, God has no problem giving. We have a problem receiving.
The Law does not give people faith. It causes people to work. And work is the opposite of faith. Faith rests in God. A Work Mentality says “I’m on my own”. If I ever get rich, it’s because I earned it. If I ever get “blessed” it’s because I deserved it. If I am healthy, it’s because I took good care of my body”. It’s all “I, I, I”. A Work Mentality also says things like “I won’t get blessed today because I have not been behaving well.” It turns God into an impersonal, uncaring economic force. Not a loving Father.
The more we preach LAW, the worse our opinion of God becomes. We see God as someone excited to punish sins, and unwilling to bless. We do not see his heart which delights in mercy and grace.
Grace and Faith
This is why the message of Grace changes everything for us who believe. Grace says “God will give you something you do not deserve. Not because you are good but because He is Good.” Looking back at the story in John 4: Jesus was complaining that people needed a sign, but he still healed the sick boy in the story. He has no problem giving us signs and wonders! It is just frustrating for him to know that many times, we refuse to believe at face value – just taking him at his word, or just assuming the best from him. Why? Because he loves to bless us! He hates to see unbelief robbing us!
Many times my wife and I have fights about words. You know those arbitrary sentences which can either mean something very good or very bad? Those cause many fights! Sometimes I get hurt and say “That’s not what I meant! Why did you assume that I meant that other horrible meaning?”. I do it a lot to her too! And she says “Why can’t you give me the benefit of the doubt? Of course that’s not what I meant!”. We fight because we do not assume the best from each other all the time. We choose to believe the worst. It is the same with God.
If we ever wonder if God will provide – why can’t we just assume he will? If we don’t have enough faith to be certain, let’s just assume the best. Don’t say “well I’m afraid to hope and be disappointed”. Faith is having a good opinion of God. Say “He will not disappoint”. The people in Galilee in Jesus’ time did not believe God would heal, give, provide, love and care for them. People today – even Christians – have the same difficulty in believing. The oppression from years and years of being preached the LAW did that to us.
The Sign of Jonah
In another account, Jesus says that only a “wicked generation asks for a sign”. Please don’t read this and feel bad – like Jesus is calling you wicked for your unbelief. He was specifically referring to the Pharisees and Sadducees. But he also warned against their “yeast” or their teaching – which infects us with the same unbelief. And what do they teach all the time? The law! They were the most legalistic, religious bunch! And they were hypocrites by default, because no one could live up to the standard they were demanding – or were saying that God demanded. It’s their message that made people have a bad opinon of God.
But anyway, Jesus continued to say that the only sign they were going to get was the Sign of Jonah. And what is the Sign of Jonah? Jonah was in the belly of the whale for 3 days. Jesus was referring to his death and resurrection. That should be sign enough for everyone!
My friend, the sign of Jonah is the gospel. It tells you that Jesus died for you! It tells you that if you believe God cannot be good to you because you don’t deserve it, remember that he was “bad” to Jesus even if Jesus didn’t deserve it. Jesus took our place. Jesus’ death threw that whole “business of deserving” out of the window! That gives us the divine right to expect good things from God. And Jesus rose from the dead! That’s a declaration that his death was accepted by God as payment for our sin. That there was more Good in Jesus’ life than the Bad that he was punished to pay for.
Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
If God gave you Jesus, that is proof enough of how good he is. He values Jesus more than anything in the universe. And yet he did not withhold Jesus- he gave him to us.
Guilty of Presumption
In the past I would be afraid to pray with faith because I did not want to be guilty of presumption. But today I am telling you – that it is far better to be guilty of presumption than to be guilty of unbelief! (Sorry for using the word guilty. Either way you can never be guilty again because of the cross! But you know what I mean!)
So like I said a while ago I was struggling with a certain worry. Do you know what I did? I picked up my bible (no I don’t always do this when I’m worried! But good thing I did a while ago)… and decided to pray.. I prayed the most presumptious prayers ever.
- I did not say things like “God if it is your will….” I just assumed it was his will.
- I didn’t say “In your time, God…” I just said out loud that I expected it at a specific time.
- I didn’t say “If you want to God” I just assumed and believed he wanted to.
And when I was done praying like that, I felt his pleasure over me. Like he was saying “you sounded much better right there than you did a while ago when you were worrying like crazy”.
God did not say “What a presumptuous boy”. I know it was more like “Now there’s someone with a good opinion of me!”. I wish I could be like that always!
The Real Sign and Wonder
Our hearts can be so hard. When you see Jesus saying “Oh you of little faith”… he means it! But that’s something he came to help us with too!
Remember that God does not demand from you. He supplies to you. The faith he wants to see in you – he will give it to you as well. For me, I would have no basis to believe God, no basis to have a good opinion of him – if not for the Cross.
The Cross is the reason why I do not need to look at myself – whether or not I deserve God’s goodness.
The Cross is proof that Jesus loves me so much.
The Cross is proof that the Father will not spare anything, withhold anything from me. He loves us that much.
Unless we see signs and wonders we will not believe. But we see the cross. And it’s impossible not to believe.
The real miracle – is what happens in our hearts when we accept the message of God’s love, grace, mercy and favor for us – through his son Jesus. The way we see God begins to change, and everything changes along with it.
Thank you for your cross Lord! I look upon your cross and believe! Everything is a YES and AMEN because of the cross! Continue to change the way I see you!
