DEEPEST COLD VALLEYS

Cold defeat sits inside his heart like a weakling squirrel on broken branches, after the storm. Tears whipped his pale face as he reminisce his old self. What happened? When did I lost it all, he soliloquies? •

Deafening, melancholic rhythms of chaos within the ears within his ears. Oh, how fragile, even the most strongest among men, is fragile. Like a candle sets on white sandy shores at night, he glows like a lighthouse, guiding mammoth ships, but in a twinkle of an eye the winds slaps him, and he’s no more. He’s gone — to the rabbit holes, where no man knows the language they speak except the man writhing in pain & sorrow

So I said to myself, if life is only meaningful when the Beloved guides thy feet to wherewithal he wants you to be, then it’s worthless for me to go where the Lover has not sent me to be.

Father, Son, Spirit — Pruner of the vineyard Keep me on the path where your grace rules Guide my feet away from the evil that lurks. Oh, the evil that lurks in the darkness around

There is a cup in the hands of God, filled with the wine of love. The taste of it, I do not have the words to express. Whenever I am in His presence I feel lighter, yet intoxicated by the weight of His glory, possessed by mercy; indulging and embracing eternal romance, and deep assurance of love.

Your love is the most sweetest thing my soul has ever bathed itself in. Don’t tell me to jump out of this river, oh man. Freeing, nourishing, and strengthening; the deeper my feet, my soul delve into it’s grandeur —— Ah, nothing feels better than you; Jesus, lover of my soul.

I could still be sitting on weak branches of self; wounded from within if your love and warmth had not touched the feet of this migrant bird; warming my days in eternal ecstasy.
