FOR A MOMENT

I thought I was a failure

For a moment I thought

Life has not been fair to me

Maybe, I was not paying attention to

The little things in my life that makes me

Feel complete rest with the Earth-Maker.

For a moment I thought I made it

Here, by my own strength

Looking deep, beyond my skin,

The scars of yesteryear, engraved on my

Soul, and all the places of my being

Reminded me that, this has to be Gods

Mighty hands; invisibly conjuring miracles

In my life, for all this while

It has to be Him, but no one else

I could have died a long time ago

I could have lost my mind through chaos

No, no, I am not a failure

I have been blessed, but was blind;

To unravel the goodness of my Father God

I have tasted grace when life was sour

I have leapt over walls, and stand tall;

Head above the thick clouds of evil

Sorry, for having all these thoughts in

My heart; holding doubts against your

Faithfulness. You’ve done it. And now

I am thankful and grateful for your grace.
