XENOPHOBIA \\ A.D. 2015, SOUTH AFRICA

south africa

Who has seduced the heart of the universe; that we
Are dancing to the tune of weakness wickedness?

Who has shut down the souls sun, to not give love
to the tender meadows bloom?

Who are these, who walk with face of chaos;
trampling on the ground, the flower child?

This place smells suffering, death, blood, and pain –
for the black migratory birds of the Gold Coast.

Kwame and Oliseh, worried about the safety of their family,
and the new business at the heart of Johannesburg.

Khumalo weeps like a child, at Soweto; the death of his two
daughters. Born and raised at Cape Town: He is from the South,
married to a Gambian – they are at the crossroad of love and
insanity, not knowing where to turn.

Mind boggling. The world watch, Hennessy in her hands – soul
numb, to the souls bleeding in hells opening mouth, on black
moaning streets.

Did we forget that when one soul bleeds, we are all bleeding?
Your pain and loss is my pain and loss. We shall overcome pain,

We shall overcome our loss, with love. Yes! with love ……

we shall overcome every hurt and instability.
