THE LIES OF THE RICH MAN – MY STORY

I was a little boy

With a dream, in Africa

The rich man stood standstill, with his entourage;

Pointed his hand on me, to Inquire about my parents.

His direct gaze on my innocent soul, scared the hell out me.

One of the guys stretched his hand, pointing to the

apartment which directly faced the street.

On seeing the curtain that graced the door of our apartment,

he knew too well that I was from a poor family.

He looked at me again; all my friends watch and wait,

as if we were being hypnotized by a deity.
His Words; “if this kid here, had rich parents,

he would have been a great person, in the future“.

Alas my parents were poor and broke;

The Words of the rich man was the last straw

that break the camels back.

He broke my innocent soul and sealed my destiny with a lie.

I grew up, embittered against my parents,

because they were not successful and

I was caged in a low self-esteem and hopelessness.

I have believed in what was not true!

I have belied in his ignorance

I have believed in a false statement

My teeth set on the edge, until i turned 17

Met Jesus, and He gave me living hope

Today, I have escaped the lies of the rich man

like a bird to his sacred place;

Living a fulfilled life of purpose and acceptance

In Him.
