A HOLE IN THE GOSPEL| CHAPTER 2

Capture the central perspective of this post by reading Chapter one from here. In Chapter one, I share the vision the Lord revealed to me in 2011, in regards to His Church. He said there is an Emptiness in my Church!!

SENSATIONALISM AND EMOTIONALISM – Apostle Paul warns the Church at Colossae to be watchful of leaders who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual double-talk. They want to drag you off into endless arguments that never amount to anything. They spread their ideas through the empty traditions of human beings and the empty superstitions of spirit beings. But that’s not the way of Christ. Everything of God gets expressed in him, so you can see and hear him clearly. You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything. This is the abundant life; the well where the thirsty and dissatisfied souls find rest and Photo Credit: Google imagecomfort.

THE WILDERNESS CHURCH -We see a similar picture in the wilderness Church…The congregation murmured against Moses and were willing to stone him, for lack of water for themselves and their animals. The Lord gave an instruction to Moses, to speak to the rock (Christ) before the eyes of congregation and water shall flow in abundance from the flinty rock.

Numbers 20:11-12 (NKJV) 11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank. 12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

Moses, out of anger and disobedience stroked the rock twice with his rod and water gushed out. What was missing in this wilderness miracle was the neglect to exalt the Lord before the eyes His people that they can place their trust in Him as their sole satisfier and provider. Moses was not supposed to take the spot light…it was Christ, who was the type of the rock. Moses and the congregation miss the opportunity to reach the promise land. It is not always about the miracle; it’s always about God who is the miracle maker. Who is your focus? Yourself, your leader, your denomination or it is all about Christ?

WHAT TIME IS IT? It is time we drop our pick axe gospel of self works, legalism, commercialization, sexism, materialism, condemnation which has become the order of the day and share light on God’s grace gospel which is simple and yet has the power to build the total man from the inside out and grant us an inheritance with eternal value. Apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit spoke to the leaders of the Ephesus Church in his farewell address, to be committed to God and the timeless truth and principles of the word of His grace which has great benefits to keep them from false brethren and demonic concepts. The sound of the great Apostle still echoes through the corridors Photo Credit: synecticsworld.comof time to the 21st century church…

Acts 20:32New (NKJV) “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

A mind corrupted by wrong theology or belief system about God and who we are in Him leads to all kinds of behaviors and malfunctioning in life.  If the body of Christ is denied of her ability to behold the beauty and pleasant nature of Christ through the preaching of the Gospel which Paul says “Is able to build you up and not only that but to also give us an inheritance”  … then we deepen the vacuum of emptiness which plagues most Christians, and not experiencing this amazing grace independent of our self occupation and willpower to get access to the boundless riches in Christ. This is not a matter denominational or doctrinal over protection; it’s a matter of giving people the chance to see Jesus and throwing out all man centered religion and traditions out of the window.  Are you ready to be a part and parcel of this movement?

BUILDING NEW ALTARS I share the same passion with Malcom Smith 110% on what really matters now; preaching the gospel which is the power unto salvation and not works. He clearly sounds the trumpet from the roof top that we will all hear…“Preaching the gospel, we are announcing the news of the revelation of who Adinkra Symbol, Ghana: God's Presence and ProtectionGod is and how He feels about us. We stand on the street corners of the world shouting the news that God is not the way we thought He was – He loves us!!… This is the greatest news in the world… The love of God…is the magnetic north of truth by which we fix our position as we stumble lost in the wilderness of the world…To know that His love for us depends on Him and not on us is the beginning of the way out of the futile, meaningless lives and religious despair”

The pulpit has to be oiled again with the passion to see people transformed and not modified into robots without the ever abiding life of Christ flowing in us. Jesus said He came purposely to give us His own life in full measure. If this is heaven agenda, then the burden is not on us anymore but we must embrace this life by faith to impact us in all that we do on this side of eternity…

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly “- John 10:10 (NKJV)

The pulpit needs repentance from dead works, and come back to a true relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Beating people with do’s and don’ts, when they’ve really not been empowered to know their true identity rather suppress them than doing them good. You don’t beat a servant and torture him to think and work like a king when his mind is beat down and contained in a prison of unworthiness, shame and insignificance. We tell people to become like Christ with child-laboursticks and hammers on their head, when they have no idea of who they are in Christ Jesus. Throwing fire and brimstone on people through condemnation and self occupation messages or sermons always compel sincere people to try hard on their own; because of their inability through self, they fake their identity, and yet we celebrate their outward modifications whiles they struggle under the cloak of hypocrisy on the inside. Teach me who I am and effortlessly, I will discover who I am and live naturally as God intended through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Transformation is an inside out work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer!!

You want transformation and fulfillment in Christ? Find a Christ centered church and resources that will draw you in to the riches of Christ in your daily life as a believer. May Christ be exalted before your eyes today in love and victory over complex issues of this world!!
