Let's be vulnerable together in the presence of the lord. He will abundantly restore us.
A KNOCK
There is a knock on the doors of the Lord beckoning on Him to come through for a friend at the edge of death. This yearning of Martha and Mary must be the cry of our generation. Something on the inside of us must be set loose in the presence of the Lord for radical justice on our behalf. It is time we give up trying and accept it, that it is not in us to prevail by our strength but the battle is the Lord’s.
Be vulnerable in the presence of the Lord. Lazarus is sick, Sisters went loose, not to seek the help of men but the help of the Lord. Scripture records;
“The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, “Lord, behold, he for whom you have great affection is sick.” But when Yeshua heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God’s Son may be glorified by it.” John 11:3-4 WMBBE
Could my Lord find glory in my pain? Is the kingdom of God so ambitious to step into the space of my disregarded, broken and empty vessel, to mend it and fill it with a purpose that aligns with His glory and purpose, so much that there wouldn’t be any trace of defects if I surrender these hidden scars of my soul to the Lord?
There is absolutely nothing in this world, whether broken or standing that God can not express Himself through if it is surrendered to Him. Do with it whatever you want to! This must be our heart cry
Earthen Vessel
We are earthen vessels. Some are in beautiful shapes and contains uncommon potentials yet the content of the vessel only brings glory to the bearer of it, not to God. Some also are broken, bruised, battered, bloodied and leaking out of any good things that enter into their space and yet they are unwilling to surrender their wasted vessel unto the Lord for Him to repair, restore, refill and express His glory and power through it.
You realize that both vessels live for themselves, in pain and potential. God is not invited to partake in what He has wonderfully created. These vessels live not for the glory of God but for pride and pity. One lives for himself though he is endowed with so much and the other also lives for himself though he can’t fix the chaos within. He has wounds and scars yet he is not willing to surrender them to the master physician because he is unaware that, it is in Gods nature to glorify himself in the beggarly elements of life when it is willingly surrendered to Him.
1 Corinthians 1:26-29
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence
Come, O’ Lord
Martha and Mary knew something about Jesus that most of us in the church are unaware of. This family has walked with Jesus and knew too well that He has the power to heal, including the sickness that had gripped their brother, Lazarus. They weren’t ashamed to be vulnerable to the master of their pressing need. Humbly, they beckoned on Him to come into their hopeless world.
Let Jesus words from our reference scripture set you loose today to live in the consciousness of freedom, that whether in pain or power, God desires to find glory in us.
“But when Yeshua heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God’s Son may be glorified by it.”John 11:4 WMBBE
Our God will not disregard our invitation when we humbly call on Him. It may seem like He had delayed sometimes but we should be steadfast and hold on to Him. He seeks glory in your pain and strength. He will not abandon. He will pardon. He will not cast us away forever. He will rebuild the ancient ruins for His glory. Oh, glory hallelujah, come O’ Lord
Prayer
Dear, Father I believe in You as a very present help. Today, I recognise your presence in me, altering the broken places of my soul, spirit and body for your glory. I surrender my potentials and opportunities. Use it for your glory, Jesus.
Father, It’s all about you — so take this pain, weakness, sins, and addictions and bring something out of it; rest for my soul and glory for Your kingdom. Take over, Spirit of Christ, and restore me to the original purpose of the Father; living for His glory all the days of my life. In Jesus name I have prayed. Amen!
