The Simplest yet Powerful Gospel

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtility so your grace101minds‬ should be corrupted from the ‪‎simplicity‬ that is in Christ  (2 Corinthians 11:3 KJV)

There are uncountable formulas concocted by the religious benchmarks and the unregenerate souls; a misguided reality being accepted as a way of life by the church, because of its complexity nature. Christianity is all about an understanding of your identity in Christ, and the beautiful expression or effects of such glorious position, through faith in Him.

O’ pilgrim soul…sleeping on the wayward street; do you know who you are?

There is no science propounded by men that reveals who you  are better than the simple gospel of Christ. The gospel paints a better picture of yourself in God. My passion ans obsession is to see the beauty of the person of Christ. It is in the revealed knowledge of Christ in our hearts, that open us us to who we are. He is the mirror… our duty is to look unto Him and glow in all aspects of life. It doesn’t matter how zealous you are for God, if what goes through the corridors of your heart is not that which brings freedom and satisfaction to your soul, you can never live the quality life of your new identity. In His last discourse with the disciples, Jesus opened their heart to the solid foundation of Christianity. He has this to say;

John 15:5 (HCSB) “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.

I am not here to burst your spiritual bubble…am here to point you to the truth of the gospel which says; “The life (wisdom, holiness, sanctification, righteousness etc.) I live now in this life, is His life, plus nothing” We are called to His life. We are to take the simple yoke and walk with Him, being bound by the unforced rhythm of grace. Christianity is not just hard, (some people usually say, Christianity is hard) it is impossible without the manifestation of the spirit of Christ, in us. I have been very fascinated with the phrase “you can do nothing without me“. Recently, I told the Lord there are a host of things I can do without Him. Interesting right? I think I can cuss, do drugs, fornicate, and do all evil vices without the spirit help. I understand what Jesus was trying to convey to our advantage, was the importance of He behaving His life through us to live the abundant life on this side of eternity as we rest in His power. Without me abiding in Christ through regeneration and continuing to trust in Him to manifest His life of righteousness, wholeness, peace, love, joy and all that He is, Christianity is impossible.

For our minds to be corrupted from a pure devotion to the gospel of Christ, Satan has plastered the world with another gospel which points you to your human, effort to access the reality of His life. There is a form of wisdom in this form of self made actions, but it does not emphasize on the ability of Christ. Apostle Paul hammered on this truth;

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than ‪‎Christ (Collossian 2:8)

I will be trusting God to guide you through some of the elemental humanistic ideas which has crawled into our churches, destroying the liberty and the freedom we have in Christ. The duty of the Christian is simple; let your mind be consumed with the truth of the gospel. This is what is going to happens in your life….

So all of us who have had the veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord -who is the spirit- makes us more and more like him as we are changed into His glorious image. (2 Cor 3:18)

That is exactly how one imitates Christ. You are not copying Christ. He is behaving in you through revelation of the beauty of Himself as you yield yourself to His word. Few days ago a lady was going around trying to tarnish my image for something I have no clue. I became so furious to the extent that I wanted to pronounce curse upon her. Remember, God wants us to love our enemies and bless those who persecute us (that is the quality life of God). To cut a long story short, I began meditation on these verses which commands us to bless and not to curse. What was happening was that, I was allowing God to express His love through me as I yield myself completely to the spirit directed activity. Friend there was no way I could have done this exhibition of beautythrough self effort. His word is Himself. His word is full of spirit and life.

So many of us are struggling with bitterness, anger, un-forgiveness, lust, and all kinds of negative luggage. We cannot walk what we preach, until we rest in His word. The Lord told me; “anytime you ponder on my word and allow it to dwell richly in your heart, you are allowing me to express myself in you, effortlessly”. Take a text of scripture and hang on to it until it becomes a revelation in your heart, to affect your external life. Am not talking about scripture memorization….I am talking about a revelation of Christ in your heart. To God be the glory, anger was dispelled from my heart and love and peace had its throne on my heart. Alleluia!! Satan is conquered, through His life. Friend, you have already overcome. Share your praise report to encourage other believers and brethren in their Christian journeys through the comment section. Thanks and may you be moved your heart by His spirit to do His will and of His good pleasure

    “Beware, lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ”. (Col 2:8)
