Imagine a world filled with people who are living under the influence of innocence, because they are born from the innocence of God. They have no consciousness of guilt, sin, shame and condemnation. They only function from the core of their perfect nature in God. I don’t really know what you think about yourself when you look God in the face. Your opinion of God towards you and others is the sum total of your life story…it practically defines your belief system. The issues of life flow from our belief system. Wether we fall or stand, its hinges on what we believe. Remember, wrong belief system always leads to wrong behavior. I trust that you will develop new foundations for your feet today, to usher you into freedom and success, all the days of your life. Amen!

MY BELIEF WAS MY PRISON – I became born again in my late teen with a couple of friends, in a rough neighborhood of Ghana – Africa. We were so on fire for God in every way possible, without apology. I almost served in every department of the Church, for wrong reasons. I knew I was genuinely in love with God but what I didn’t know was if He loved me with high-octane passion, just like the way I did loved Him. I surely knew I was in love with Him more than He

did! What was wrong, McDaniels? I was living passionately for God on the outside, but was secretly dying slowly on the inside with the fear of not pleasing Him. I read a text of scripture from the book of Hebrews, which says without faith one cannot please God. That really spoiled my Christian honeymoon for years. I knew back then that you will need the giant faith of Elijah, Morris Cerrullo or Billy Graham, to be well pleasing to the Lord. I never felt the real joy of Christianity, I knew my prayers were not breaking through the glass ceiling or will always fall into the death ears of God. Can you believe it? I was afraid I may end up in hell, with all my spirituality. Wanting to please the Lord when He looks at me, I started working hard for the Lord…daily dose of scripture memorization, evangelism, extreme fasting and self denials, and what have you, just to motivate Him to change His mind of displeasure towards me. I was buying my way to acceptance through works. Christianity is a life of “I am” not “I need to become”. I will explain this statement later, but friend I want you to tattooed this profound truth into your heart.

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV) ⁶ And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

YOU ARE A DELIGHT TO GOD – There is a system of belief which says; one need to have a giant faith or grow in the depths of their faith in order to please God. This wrong assertion or belief has rob the masses of the confidence to approach God, as dearly beloved.  Many has the feeling that until they graduate or matured into that state of faith mastery through their own effort, it will be impossible for them to please God. They go through long periods of fasting, extreme self denials and the practice of copying people they consider as men of faith. They travel from one county to the other, looking for a man of God to lay hands on them for the imputation of faith, so they can please the Lord in their walk with Him. There is nothing wrong for a man of God to pray for you but how your Father in heaven thinks concerning you, does not depends on who lays his or her hands on you. First of all, those who do not please God in their hearts are not those who has placed their trust in Him. Do you believe that God exists and is persuaded in your heart that you are born from above?

What is faith in the first place? I love this simple definition of faith; “Faith is having a good opinion about God”. This makes it so simple for me. When you need faith, you don’t have to look at yourself to produce faith. You just need to look at God to activate the measure of Himself in your born again spirit your to have a good opinion of Him. And true enough, in times when you are low in faith, it’s because your opinion of God at the time needs adjusting”.

WHAT DO I MEAN BY THE MEASURE OF HIMSELF? Your Bible says that;“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” (Romans 12:3) This is so beautiful! The new creation man has being dealt with the measure of faith. My friend when God gave you the measure of faith, how much faith do you think God gave to you? Are you thinking, maybe God gave you a smaller version of faith than He dealt with everyone else? The measure of faith which you received caused you to believe in Jesus Christ as your savior. It is more than enough from start to the end. It is through this faith you walk over the head of the cobra and every form of the enemies attack. hallelujah!

The faith of Jesus Christ is tabernacles in your heart when you made Him the Lord of your life. This faith is not a product of self effort, it is a gift from GOD that allows you to walk in alignment with Him. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” The verse says; grace and faith ‘is the gift of God’. You already have  the faith that overcomes the world. Those who overcome the world are the people who believe in Jesus Christ. It is one thing to have faith and another thing to develop or to put into use the free gift of faith. Develop your faith by the persuasion of the word of God. The Bible says that; “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”(Romans 10:17) The more you set your heart to be immersed into His word of His grace, which is able to build you up, the more you begin to think like Him and speak like Him in your daily life.

One of the ways I control every situation in my life is to allow the Holy Spirit to escort me to the banqueting house of Christ Jesus and let Him speak tenderly to my heart about how He feels towards me in my predicament. His words of life resonates with His life in me to rise above the evil occasion, effortlessly. What if God finds fault with me? Your God is not a fault finder, the devil is. Even in our mistakes, He leads us to the path of righteousness for his name sake. He will not throw tantrums and lost breath for our actions. He always point us to who we are in Him. You are created to function like God; a faith being. God is not passive…He spoke the world into existence. He did not speak problems into existence. Don’t tell God about your problems, tell your problems and situations about your God. This is how we are wired to function; in authority and power.

Without faith it is impossible to please God, but with His faith in you, He breath over you with delight. To be pleasing in the Greek is the word euaresteo (pronounced yoo-ar-es-teh’-o) which means to be well pleased with a thing, having pleased or to gratify entirely. It pleased the Lord to give you the measure of Himself, so that He can walk with you in divine romance. The measure of the faith of the people (for instance preachers or faith healers) you admire is not bigger than the measure of your faith in your born again spirit. The difference is that, they have learned to release the supernatural ability of faith in God, that yields results. Friend your God is not a respecter of persons!! Remember, you have not been given the measure of faith to force God into action. Your faith only appropriates what God has already done through Christ Jesus. The desire of the human heart to invent its own route to reach God always leads to unfulfilled frustration and ill acceptance. The reason many Christians do not feel well pleasing to the Lord. They are always accused by Satan of their below standard faith, no matter how much they try to walk in faith. Out of desperation and rejection in their soul…they can’t talk to their daddy in heaven, in prayer. Usually, they go through prayer mediators to pray on their behalf to God. The measure of faith God gave to you, whether its like the size of a mustard seed or papaya seed; it’s all you need to stand before the devil without fear and relate with your God, without timidity or shame.

AN ACCOMPLISHED TRUTH – Friend you can be set free from the bondage of ill acceptance. My life is a testimony of a man being set free from the religious bondage of a wrong believe system to tell you that when God look at you He is not disgusted in your walk with Him. According to His good pleasure, He predestined you into adoption by accepting us into the beloved. Scripture says that; Ephesians 1:4-6 (KJV) ⁴ According as he hath chosen us [past tense] in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: ⁵ Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,⁶ To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. I love the Andrew Wommack commentary on Ephesians 1:6; “The Greek word translated here “accepted in the beloved” is the exact same word rendered “highly favoured” in Luke 1:28. “And the angel [Gabriel] came in unto her, and said, ‘Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee [Mary]: blessed art thou among women” (brackets mine). These are the only two times this word is used in the New Testament.

Therefore, being “accepted in the beloved” means you are “highly favoured” of God! Look your face in the mirror and tell your soul that your are highly favored, loved and accepted in the beloved. [Jesus Christ]  Adam, the first man, was never in a try and error project to become. He was functioning from who he was until he fell from his original position. Christianity is a life of I am not I need to become. Most Christians are trying to do things ( trying live holy, read the Word, tithe, fast, etc.) to make themselves acceptable to God instead of resting in the beloved to let His life flow freely in us. You are well pleasing to God, because of Christ. Believe and see it transformed your life.
