What do you value? We are not in a rat race with the gentiles. Our daddy cares enough about us to enrich our lives with His goodness. Isn’t it glorious!
Matthew 6:31-34 31 reads; “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Are you seeking a relationship with God or serving God as an ends to material blessing and possessions? Many believers has left their obsession to stay in the secret place of God and affectionately drifting into pursuing the world at all cost. This state of apostasy has created empty souls where men are falling into manholes. It is your Father’s will that you walk in divine prosperity, in the land of the living. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2) but He also admonish us through Paul in the epistle to Timothy to flee from “the love of money” and pursue righteousness, godliness etc. 1 Timothy 6:7-11 (NET) 7 For we have brought nothing into this world and so we cannot take a single thing out either. 8 But if we have food and shelter, we will be satisfied with that. 9 Those who long to be rich, however, stumble into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evils. Some people in reaching for it have strayed from the faith and stabbed themselves with many pains. 11 But you, as a person dedicated to God, keep away from all that. Instead pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, endurance, and gentleness.
Money, wealth, riches in itself is not evil, but it is the heart condition towards money that leads to all kinds of evil. When money dominates the throne of our affection more than the love for God, we try all kinds of mechanism and gimmicks to acquire money which is contrary to God’s word. God does not expect us to become prisoners of money, His desire is that we prosper and to be in control over our hearts in our relationship with Him instead of money consciousness sitting on the throne of our hearts daily.
Your prosperity is God’s heartbeat, but it’s unscriptural to be consummated with the pursuit of this world’s wealth to the neglect of a yearning to prosper, in your communion or relationship with the Lord. Jesus tenderly whispers to us to seek and savor Him with every fiber of our being, all the days of our life. It’s in that moments of intimate communion, in our secret place, that we download wisdom, to excel in all areas of our lives and also be set free from the bondage of fear and uncertainty of deadlines and the worries of tomorrow.
You were created for a relationship of love with God. When His love dominates your heart, you will not worship your job, business plans and wealth accumulation but will set Him as a seal in your heart and cherish every day with wisdom from His presence. Song of Solomon 8:6 says; “Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LOR”.
Is your soul rushing and drowning in self? Are you weary and tired about life? God specializes in renewing and refreshing of our lives. He doesn’t give up on us; it doesn’t matter how far you’ve disconnect yourself from Him in your covenant relationship. The Prophet Isaiah writes; “29 He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy. 30 Even youths get tired and weary; even strong young men clumsily stumble. 31 But those who wait for the Lord’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired. (Isaiah 40:29-31 NET)
Spend quality time in His presence and enjoy communion with God today in prayer. Prayer is not a religious duty but an invitation for communion with God. Prayer is simply an invite for conversation; a special moment to experience intimate fellowship and affection with the Lord. Just don’t keep on eating what do not satisfy. Jesus is the bread of life and the living water for you empty and the hungry soul. Will you let Him come in and dine with Him in an intimate setting for renewal, healing and restoration?
He speaks to us tenderly and close-up, even when we think He is far from us. He is not far, my good friend. He is right where you are, and He says; Listen! I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into his home and share a meal with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20 NET)
Who will ignore an invitation from the Queen of England or the President of the United States of America in your humble apartment? There is fullness of benefits and opportunities in the presence of such great dignitaries. Remember it rarely happens for the President of the United States of America or the Queen of England to stop by at the home of an ordinary individual. Grace compels God to stoop low and lavish the needy, the broken and the empty with the abundance of His favor for a turnaround. In His presence are eternal pleasures which only God can give, to heal our aching hearts and prosper us in every arena of life.
so well written and such a good word! thank you!
