A YEAR OF REST
Therefore since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it [Hebrews 4:1]
What you need to be fearful of in this life is not fear itself but the fear to come to the end of yourself and leave everything to God whiles you rest calmly with childlike faith in His everlasting arms to hold the details of your life
…For he that comes to God must believe that He is… (Hebrews 11:6)
Our God is not the great I will be or the great I was. He is the great I am. What a sigh of relief it brings to the soul knowing that you can come boldly to a great throne of mercy to receive grace and mercy from a great God who is not dead but alive to meet every needs of our hearts. For those who serve a dead god, they have hands but cannot deliver, ears but cannot hear, eyes but cannot see. Who is your God?
