LOVE IN THE AIR OR IN THE HEART

Can you imagine if the force of love and its effects can be felt daily just as the wind blows from the horizon and we enjoy its breeze?

Most often in a relationship when circumstances are perfect you could just smell and breathe love but the unfortunate thing is that, it does not stay long than for it to be fizzled into the thin air.

Love is suppose to be a lifestyle of affection and goodwill towards God, others and ourselves. Our momentary love builds and destroys. It goes to the altar on Sunday and goes to the divorce court on Friday. Our love from this fallen world is a bankrupt love – we honor God when the music is good and we are on emotional high on Sundays. Jesus corrected this form of error employed by men in their falling nature to play act in the presence of God when He encountered the Pharisees. He rebuked them sharply;

Matthew 15:7-9 (NKJV) 7Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: 8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And[a] honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.

The Only way we can love just as He loved us unconditionally when we were yet sinners is to embrace His love for us. Your Bible says in 1 John 4:19 “We love Him[a] because He first loved us”. Do you abide in His love for you? God loves you not because of your good works and neither does He love you because you qualify for His love. God’s nature is to love. He is a being that want to love you and shower you with His goodness. There is nothing you can do to make Him love you more or not to love you anymore. Yes there is nothing!

It is recorded in the scripture for our profit, the heart of God concerning His children – “Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword”?

Don’t let no man imprison you with guilt and condemnation to hinder you from enjoying the real goodness of your Father in heaven, who loves you so dearly and will continue to love others through you as you abide in His love. Its totally impossible to give to people what you don’t have. When you receive it, its easy to diffuse it out effortlessly.

Are you afraid of tomorrow and not sure if life has anything good on the table for you? Most Christians have this knowledge that God is love. Do you know it is one thing to know that God is love and another thing to believe that He loves you? Do you believe that He loves you? Its is in that believe, rest and trust that breaks the yoke of uncertainty and fear for tomorrow. This believe will settle peace into your heart with the liquid presence of His grace to walk with your chest out and a big smile on your face. Your heart is full of God’s power on your behalf to favor you beyond measure. The Doctor’s report don’t burry you in despair! You can now look with hope and appropriate what the perfect work of Christ has wrought for you on the cross of Calvary for your healing and total wholeness. Meditate on this scripture today and walk out from the temporal emotions of love and be established in the perfect love of God which cast out all fears and to be able to enjoy the best fro all your relationships. You are dearly loved and perfectly cared by the lover of your soul, Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:16-18 (NKJV) 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

MY JOURNEY


The blessing of the Lord–it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it]. (Proverbs 10:22 AMP)

I still remember it like yesterday; I was just jumping around as a young kid with my friends in front of a neighbors house. A certain man I will call Mr. Lesley, who was very rich and well respected in the area, parked his car and stepped out with his entourage with some Tony Montana (Scarface) swag.

Immediately, I caught his attention and then he paused for a while looked directly into my eye through to my soul. He inquired from a man I will call Mr. Ray; “whose son is this young man.” Mr. Ray replied; “his parents just live across the street.”
Mr. Lesley being fed with this little information about my parents (he knew they were poor) stirred at me again with this disappointment in his eye and then said what would program my mind into hopelessness, anger and resentment against my parents in my early teens. He said; “if this young man’s parents were rich, his future would have been awesome”

The weight of Mr. Lesley’s words left my pre-teen mind going in circles everyday. I knew him to be rich and well respected by everybody and who am I not to believe in his words. His words cut through my soul and chained my heart into a pitch black darkness of fear.

I was so much loved by family, friends and everybody who saw me but I was suffering from low self esteem, emptiness and a void that widening itself everyday as I am reminded by Mr. Lesley’s statement. He has programmed an innocent young man into disbelief about the future and very bitter with my parents (I thought if they would have worked hard, they would have been rich for me to become great), but he probably had no idea of the deep wounds I was nursing each passing seconds of the day.

It is only the truth that sets us free. It is rather unfortunate that many are not hearing the truth which sets you totally free independent of your ability. It is called the free gift of grace. Bingo! the scales fell off of my eyes, the chains were broken from my hands and a new song of hope was embedded into my spirit by the Lord in my late teens. I knew then that, I heard a lie; total lie from the pit of hell. The devil saw my future and used the carnal mind and heart of men to try to rearrange the purpose of God for my life.

Friend, be careful about what you hear today! Men’s assessment, opinion, and estimation of you is not the final cut to your life purpose. Your destiny is not determined by your family status, color of your skin or your present situation. It is the blessing of the Lord…
